Twitter seems to have robbed me of my ability to write anything over 140 Characters. Hence the lack of Blog posts in the recent months. So while we are on the subject of Twitter I thought I would blog about a great new Twitter platform/tool for Businesses.
At ReelClever we use Twitter as a way to communicate with other Filmmakers. We also envisage it will become a very useful help and support tool to compliment our site.
With our Twitter followers growing at a fairly rapid rate, it is getting a bit hard for one person (me) to manage and as a result more of the team are 'excitedly' getting involved. The problem is it can get a bit messy when a number of staff are using the same account and it is not clear to our Followers who they are talking with. While thinking about the best way to handle this issue I happened to stumble over CoTweet - Currently in Private Beta."CoTweet is a platform that helps companies reach and engage customers using Twitter"
I signed up for the Private Beta and then sent a nice tweet to the @CoTweet guys and found myself with access.
We are still in the early stages of integrating CoTweet into our systems (the hold up is at our end not with CoTweet). However once we have our team sorted and our Twitter strategy ironed out I think this will be the tool we use on a daily basis.
Here is a snapshot (taken from the Cotweet.com site) of what CoTweet can do.
Engage people throughout your company Share the job of being on duty. Tap the collective wisdom of people across functional areas like marketing, PR and customer service. Assign tasks and track followups.

Focus on the conversations that matter Know when you need to jump in. Track your exchanges through simple case management. Schedule updates to make company announcements.

Keep your brand human
Automatically include signatures in your updates to identify who's talking and keep conversations personal.
This "Keeping your brand human" is a big part of what I love about CoTweet - we really want to personalize our approach to twitter and now followers can know who they are talking with.
We aim to fully integrate CoTweet into our Twitter communication over the next week and will report later on our findings. I can really see this product evolving further and look forward to seeing how it progresses.
In the meantime you can head over and sign up for the Private Beta www.cotweet.com and follow @cotweet on Twitter.
