Things are ticking along at ReelClever HQ, so its about time we blogged about the latest site additions

While filmmaking is creative and rewarding, as with all of the arts it can be difficult to find work. To help you get onto your filmmaking feet we have added a job board to ReelClever. The board has a clean and simple interface but behind the scenes it's packed with powerful algorithms that should make finding relevant jobs easy. Though at the time of writing jobs are searchable by type and country.

But soon all you will need to do is log into your ReelClever account and the Job Board will show jobs nearest to your location as well as target potential jobs to your specialties. So if you haven't already log in. Then click on 'Your Profile' then on the left click on 'Specialties' as well as 'Work Availability' . In these sections select what kind of work your after and what film making skills you possess. We can then provide you with jobs that best match your interests.

We have also integrated the job board into your profile and projects. When applying for jobs with a single click you can send your ReelClever profile in with your CV. In a project if you need to post a crew call you can do so directly from the crew section in your project tools.

We also threw in a few social networking buttons (its the trendy thing to do these days) that let you Tweet or Facebook your job post automatically right as after you publish it.

Applying and posting jobs is free, though you will need at least our free ReelClever account. There are already a selection of jobs available so check them out!

ReelClever has been updated with a focus on organization in the tools section and general site usability.

First thing users are going to notice is the new login pop up, now you can login from any page easily. Secondly those lucky enough to be paid users will find in all of thier projects a few handy little numbers. Just click 'files' in your projects tools to see that we have uploaded a few key film production documents, including general talent and location release forms and contact lists....etc

The major part of this update is the new schedule and ability to set crew permissions. We figure these updates are useful for more complex projects so they are for paid users only.

New Schedule

The schedule has had a major overhaul. Now you can access most aspects of each todo directly, click on the star to assign a priority, click on the tick when an item is completed and to set a due date just click on the calendar. You can also assign items to members of your crew, with their (hopefully) classy avatar appearing on their respective todo.

Project Permissions

Up until now every crew member on a ReelClever project could access and manipulate any part of the projects tool set. Now you can limit each crew member to just specific elements of the production, creating a cleaner working environment for them. This is especially useful if you have a contractor on board and only want them to see certain parts of your project while its in development.

Very exciting times here at ReelClever... We have finally opened up to a public beta. We are not announcing anything publicly, so this is just a very passive early launch.

Our player is still not 100% complete and there are a few small bugs we are tidying up. We are working hard on rolling out a number of new features to the site before Christmas that I am positive you will love.

From all the team at ReelClever we just want to say a big thank you to our early Beta Testers. Your feedback, advice and kind words have really helped to shape the site and we look forward to seeing more of your amazing work and projects on ReelClever.

We have completely re-designed this area of the site to make it easier to use and more intuitive.

Video Player Tools

We are hard at work on our custom video player. It features some really cool tools to help you collaborate on projects and demo draft clips to clients and communicate changes clearly.

All going to plan we should have most of these integrated into the live site by next week!
