From the opening titles we can assume that dan works for the company Eko Create which specializes in video production. The showreel bounces along to the music at a staggeringly fast pace. We counted 63 cuts in the first minute and the reel keeps up a similar pace the whole seven minutes. After the first minute or so we found ourselves skipping through the reel watching a few seconds then skipping ahead again.
We skipped through the reel not because of boredom, but simply because there was too much information to process in such little time (330 cuts all up!). But this high shot count does make It clear that Ecko Create has been around for a while and their work is varied, corporate, advertisement, music video and the last section of the reel is dedicated to web based output which is great. All the shots look professional and tidy and the reel is categorized into different sections which adds some much needed order to the madness of montage
Dan's seven minute montage works both as a curse and a blessing, on one hand it's too long, on the other it proves that the company has achieved a lot. We would hire you Dan! Despite your odd taste in music, (view the reel to see what we mean) all the best for your future endeavors!
